General Educational Development - (GED)

General Educational Development
The Tests of General Educational Development (GED) are developed and administered by the GED Testing Service of the American Council on Education. Each year they provide close to one million adults with the chance to earn a certificate or diploma that is widely recognized as the equivalent of a high school diploma. Since 1942, when the GED program began, more than 12 million adults have earned GED credentials. Among their names are some you may recognize, such as Bill Cosby, Waylon Jennings, Mary Lou Retton, and Dave Thomas.
