2015 MI-BEST Summit

The Mississippi Community College Board (MCCB) is pleased to invite the Mississippi community college system and business and industry partners to the inaugural training for the Mississippi Basic Education and Skills Training (MI-BEST) Project at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino. This three-day conference, is designed to give participating community colleges the pertinent information needed to assist with planning and implementing integrated career pathway programs. MI-BEST is an initiative of the Mississippi Community College Board with funding support from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.

To register for the MI-BEST Summit, please click the “Registration” tab at the top of this page and complete a registration form for each person attending from your college and/or organization. The Summit registration deadline is August 31st.


The Beau Rivage Resort & Casino is the host site.

Online and telephone reservations will be accepted beginning August 12, 2015 through August 25, 2015. The group rate is $105 per night for both single and double occupancy (excluding applicable taxes, fees, and a $10 per day Resort Fee). Please make your reservation before the August 25th deadline. Normal hotel room rates will apply after the August 25th deadline.

After completing the Summit Registration you will then be able to reserve your room by clicking on the “Hotel Reservation” button.

If your college is paying by check, then the Beau Rivage MUST receive the check 21 days prior to your arrival, which means no later than August 21st.


Colleges may send 10 to 20 participants from the MI-BEST Campus Planning Team and/or the various departments that will be impacted by the college’s proposed MI-BEST project. The following are some of the suggested key personnel and/or departments to send to the Summit:
